Objective:
Awareness of the Achievements of light science and its applications
“In proclaiming an International Year of focussing on the topic of light science and its application the UN has recognised the importance of raising global awareness about how light-based technologies promote substainable development and provide solutions to global challenges in every, education, agriculture and health. Light plays a vital role in our daily life and is an imperative cross-cutting discipline of science in the 21st century. It has revolutionized medicine, opened up international communication via the Internet and continues to be central to linking culture, economic and political aspects of the global society”
In order to achieve this objective we propose to hold the following programmes at the Department of Physics, Manipur University on October 26th ,2015.
